It burns!

Yesterday was one of the most beautiful days England could ask for. The temperature was in the low 70s, sun was shining, not a cloud in the sky! Jared and I have been meaning to go on a walk in the country for some time now and yesterday was the perfect opportunity. We walked to the town of Topsham which is south of Exeter. It was a wonderful walk, with flowers and gorgeous scenery. We got some sandwiches at a local cafe to bring along, which were some of the best we've had. The rest of the time we just walked and talked and played little word games to keep us entertained. All in all we were out for about 6 hours. At the end we rewarded ourselves with some ice cream at the Quay.

Then we got home to discover we had been awesomely burned! Actually, the worst on my was my shoulders. But given the fact that my first sun burn ever was last year, this was serious! Jared, of course, being the near albino that he is, is now Lobster boy. Luckily he was wearing jeans so it's just his face, neck, and arms. But the poor guy is hurting today! However, I did wander over to Boots (the pharmacy) and got some cooling gel with Aloe in it. It's been helping a lot!

No news from anyone else yet on the job front. We're waiting to hear from Iowa, Montana, and two schools from Illinois. Fingers crossed!
